We thank you for stopping by and listening to our music. These recording were made shortly after we learned to play the Mountain Dulcimer and we hope to record some new tunes soon. Until then, enjoy your stay.
Michael & Gaye - Mountain Aire Old-Time Music
Soldiers JoyOne of, if not the most popular fiddle tunes in history, widely disseminated in North America and Europe in nearly every tradition. Bayard (1981) dates it to "at least" the latter part of the 18th century, citing a version that has become standard in Aird's 1778 collection. Kate Van Winkler Keller (1992) says that the hornpipe “Soldier’s Joy” appeared with a song in London in about 1760.

We do not sell our recordings. The Lord has blessed us with this wonderful gift of music and therefore our gift in return is sharing our music with family and friends.
